International Social Work Conversion Course
This course is intended as a conversion course for overseas social workers wishing to take up or already established in children and family work posts in the UK.
The course will provide practitioners with an understanding of the political, cultural and social context of social work in the UK as well as a specific understanding of the legislation, policies and procedures governing UK practice.
This course is also intended to be professionally motivating. Children and families with whom we work will contribute to this training and both the challenges inherent in practice and the need for the continued pursuit of excellence in family work will be implicit and explicitly referred to throughout the course.
