Multi Agency Sexual Offending Awareness

NOTE: Sexual Offenders in the Family is an optional second day to this course

This course aims to enable workers to protect children and young people more effectively by gaining knowledge about the dynamics of abuse.

Professionals, and their managers, working with children and young people need to have an awareness of the risks posed by sexual offenders.

The course will provide an opportunity for workers to reflect on the impact of the work on themselves and the working practices of their organisations. The emphasis will be on the characteristics of sexual offenders, the process by which they offend and the need for effective therapeutic intervention.
