Specialised Recruitment
IRIS provides highly skilled, experienced and motivated practitioners into temporary, contract and permanent positions in public, private and voluntary social care organisations.
So what makes us different to other agencies? IRIS People is run by experienced practitioners and managers so we understand the nature of the work and are aware of the challenge currently faced in this sector. All IRIS People receive regular, extensive professional support and training through our mentoring process, and frequent reviews to ensure the highest standards of practice are maintained. This includes:
- Three days induction training.
- 15 days free training over a three year commitment that meets the requirements of continued GSCC registration.
- An allocated practice mentor. Mentors are Social Work practitioners with significant experience and understanding of the practice area they are supporting. They will assist, guide and support Social Workers on a needs-led basis and undertake a formal monthly consultation with each associate to promote practice standards, provide personal support and encourage professional development.
- Access to formal twelve hours a day, seven days a week on-line support via the IRIS web based mentor service.
- Access to additional advice, support and information from peers, mentors and external bodies via the secure IRIS on-line community.
- Access to specialist training according to individual and placement need.
All newly qualified social workers will also receive during their first year of practice:
- Fortnightly consultation with their allocated mentor
- Additional front loaded preparatory training before taking up a position and access to needs-led additional training
Please could you fill in the application form and send it to us with an up to date CV. We will then contact you to arrange a time to come in and meet us.
