Family Contact Service
IRIS provides a safe, friendly centre for family contact to take place from 8am to 6pm, seven days a week. IRIS understands that family contact is a finely balanced, sensitive issue for parents, children and professionals, and our contact supervisors are trained to manage the personal and professional issues facing children and parents in difficult circumstances. We provide a variable degree of supervision according to need:
- Supported
- Guided - Provides active and enabling intervention to promote positve relationships and positive change.
- Supervised - Individual supervision of contact with supervisor in constant sight and sound of the child.
- Supervised Plus - As supervised and includes court appropriate contemporaneous recordings.
- Assessed
- Audio-visual Recorded
We run group contact sessions as an affordable alternative to individual sessions, twice a week, and Out of Hours contact sessions for working parents one evening and one Saturday morning a month. Times at these sessions must be booked in advance, and are not suitable for assessed contact.
Our family rooms are specifically equipped for the needs of contact and are child and family friendly; they contain a wide range of toys and play equipment for all age groups and are comfortable, warm places in which parents can enjoy spending time with their children.
